bORbA vol. 01

Last Saturday, August 24, Bike Park Rakovac was the place of the epicenter of the action, because the first work adventure within the project BORBA began. The gathering started in Stari Rakovac, near the WWII monument, where everyone met at 9 in the morning, ready to embark on a day full of work, laughter and joint effort.

While beans and stew were simmering in kettles, a team of 30-40 enthusiasts headed towards the route of the new bike path. They were welcomed on the field by ShowMe selecta with an energetic sound system, along with mom's rolls, fruit spreads from Real Red, refreshing drinks, and craft beer on tap, which further cheered up the working atmosphere.

Armed with pickaxes, shovels, hoes and rakes, participants went to work like true heroes, turning dry land into a new bike path faster than you can imagine. Although the tropical heat tested us a bit, the joint effort yielded results by midday: a new fifty meters of trail appeared. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, laughter and real team spirit.

When the sun began to burn, and the blisters began to appear, the team returned to the WWII monument venue. There they relaxed in the shade of pine trees, enjoyed lunch together and emptied both kettles. The glade was the place where everyone refreshed themselves, and the craft beer further enhanced the enjoyment.
